"But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ --- by grace you have been saved---and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."

Notice this is in the past and present tense, not the future. We have already been saved. Even though we are sinners. Even though we continue to sin. God loves us so much that God will not consider an enternity without us.
And not only us, but all others too. Even those who have sinned against us. Even our enemies. Even the bullies and the meanies and the nasties. Even them. All of us. All of us made in the image of God; all of us. Made alive TOGETHER with Christ. Saved.
Let's live this truth today.
